On 8th July 2024, the first vessels of our new concept "10700 DWT Misha-Ultramax" bulk carrier series has now officially commenced after signing the contract with Gelibolu Shipyard.
With the experience of building similar vessels ie. m/v KIOWA in 2015 (8000 DWT), m/v MOHICAN in 2019 (9300 DWT), m/v SENECA in 2020 (9300 DWT) and m/v MAORI in 2021 (9300 DWT), we are now ready to build our new concept, designed and developed directly by Misha Shipping.
We have achieved 10700 DWT at sea-going draft with unrestricted service notation while she will still be fully capable of sailing in the rivers up to Caspian Sea with 5500 DWT at 3,6m river-draft.
Thanks to extensive CFD calculations, a record-breaking 24% hull resistance optimisation has been achieved which will make her operations highly economical in terms of fuel consumption. She will have CII rating of "A" and very low CO2 emission.
Gelibolu Shipyard will provide yard facilities and workmanship while all purchases and project coordination to be carried out by our side, as usual.
She will be named m/v PAWNEE, as the continuation of our well-known native Indian series.
