MISHA SHIPPING INKS DEAL FOR NEWBUILDING OF ANOTHER SHALLOW DRAFT DRY CARGO VESSEL (NB-64)

On 21 February 2018, we have signed a new agreement with Gisan Shipyard, Tuzla for newbuilding of one more dry cargo ship (NB-64). The deal was signed by the Managing Director of Misha Shipping Mr. Tandogan Ozmen with the Managing Director of Gisan Shipyard Mr. Ismail Oyar on behalf of their respective organizations. 

Shipyard will provide workmanship for the construction of the hull, outfitting, piping and coating works whereas Misha Shipping will take care of design, classification, all purchases and as well as electrical, electronical, machinery and carpentry works. This set up is the standard practice of Misha Shipping as applied to its first NB project mv KIOWA in 2016 and ongoing project mv MOHICAN.

Steel cutting is to be done in summer 2018 with the delivery schedule of the ship within 12 months from the date of steel cutting.

NB-64 will be exact sistership to mv MOHICAN (NB-61). These ships are specifically designed by Misha Shipping to carry maximum amount of cargo as well as maximum possible propulsion efficiency at the specific draft level of 3,6m and within the size limitation of Volga and Don Rivers of Russia. They are having the following main particulars;

Length o.a.         : 140,90   m

Length b.p.         : 138,36   m

Breadth Moulded     : 17,00    m

Depth to Main Deck  : 6,80     m

Summer draft        : Abt.5,35 m

DWT (draft 5,36m)   : Abt.9400 t

DWT (draft 3,6m)    : Abt.5200 t

Misha Shipping will continue its newbuilding program to strengthen its position by bringing modern and efficient ships into river/sea navigation market from Russia to Europe.
